John Hunter Hospital Car Park

This project involved the relocation of Royal Newcastle Hospital to the John Hunter Hospital site and creation of an ambulatory care centre and new inpatient accommodation, cardiovascular unit, 100 place day medical and procedural unit, operating suite and collocated endoscopy and day surgery unit.

The Newcastle Development also included the development of a new multi-level free standing car park, the re-instatement and repositioning of existing at grade car parking at the completion of the Project. The 5 level, 253 space multi-deck car park took advantage of the natural slope of the land to enable the overall height of the car park to be in keeping with the surrounding built forms and enable a higher level of natural ventilation to the car park.
