Box Hill Hospital – Spring Street Car Park
Box Hill, Victoria
The Spring Street car park, part of the Box Hill Hospital, is a 600 space, six-storey car park that has been designed to maximise its environmental sustainability potential. Working closely with Eastern Health, the car park obtained its 4-Star Green Star representing best practice, awarded by the Green Building Council of Australia.
The building features numerous green elements including chilled beam technology, rainwater recycling with a 50,000 litre concrete rainwater tank incorporated into the basement car park and double glazing to minimise heat transfer.
The building’s façade has also been optimised to balance daylight, external views, solar control and privacy issues.
