Sunshine Hospital, Victoria: Teaching, Training & Research Facility

Silver Thomas Hanley are currently designing a new Teaching Training and Research Building for University of Melbourne, Victoria University and Western Health. This $60 million 5 level building will house lecture theatre and seminar facilities, laboratories and offices to attract nursing and medical students and staff to a collaborative of learning.
Existing to be refurbished includes the 8 bed Birth Suite (plus 2 new beds) and a 38 bed Postnatal Maternity Unit in a staged construction.
The commission at Sunshine also includes an Inpatient Building and Radiation Therapy Building, to a total investment of all three at $146 million.
