Moorfields Community for Adult Care Box Hill, Victoria

Residential aged care development of 120 beds combining high care (nursing home) and low care (hostel), completed in 2000. A cluster model design approach was the principal client preference where the specific needs for dementia as well as utilisation for either high or low care resident groups were to be universally available irrespective of location on the site. Locating "club rooms" for recreation and activities away from the residential clusters encourages socialisation.
