Austin Health Community Rehabilitation Centre and Hydrotherapy Pool

This centre was designed to provide consulting and rehabilitation services to specific members of the community. The facility provides two large gymnasiums for therapy and basketball, and allied health spaces for assisted daily living and consulting. It encourages social interaction with a welcoming foyer and waiting area and a communal dining area. There is also a large hydrotherapy pool for use by Veterans and the wider community. Steel has been used externally and internally as a feature element to express the form of the building. Textures and colour are used to create a welcoming vibrant community building. The site was completed in January 2011..
