Orange Hospital, New South Wales

The redevelopment of the Orange and Associates Health Services on the Bloomfield campus in Orange, Central NSW is another successful PPP project for STH. The project brings together on a single campus major acute and mental health services for the Eastern Cluster of the Greater Western Area Health Services.
The project comprises a new 3 level acute hospital, Adult acute mental health, Mental Health rehabilitation services and a medium care forensic unit. The facility has been master planned to complement the heritage character of the existing Bloomfield campus and successfully integrates the new services in a series of low rise structures intended to seamlessly integrate with the picturesque Bloomfield campus.
The facility planning is typified by efficient circulation patterns intended to provide effective and efficient access to services in a cost effective solution. All functional relationships have been optimised and the interior architecture draws from the history of the region to provide a modern but locally relevant internal environment.
Silver Thomas Hanley are undertaking this $260 million dollar project in association with Design Inc.
