Wyong Detoxification Unit Wyong, New South Wales

This freestanding building is located on the Wyong Hospital campus. The building, completed in 2002, houses a 15 bed inpatient unit for detoxification and an outpatient methadone clinic. The use of a strong curved red wall separates the two units and frames a glazed link and main entry. White curved roofs provide an inviting element, and conceal the services plant. Natural light is maximised to all spaces. This detoxification unit was later connected to a new inpatient adult acute unit that was also designed by STH.
