This Greenfield hospital is the first public-private partnership project, for an acute care hospital and cancer centre in the history of the province of Canada. The 300 bed hospital has been awarded the North American Project Finance Deal of the year for 2004 and Gold LEED Certification on completion. This 60,000m2, $355 Million facility was built on time, on budget and within scope. It will provide enhanced and specialized health services to more than 150,000 people in the greater Abbortsford area and up to 300,000 people in the Fraser Valley region. Silver Thomas Hanley in association with Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership in Vancouver, delivered the full design for this project. It includes General Acute Care, Maternity, NICU, Cardiac Care, Palliative Care, Emergency, Ambulatory Care, and a Cancer Care Centre for the BC Cancer Agency. “The clinical folks think that they have died and gone to heaven.
