New Royal Adelaide Hospital design is in progress.

Following financial close, STH are now undertaking planning for the new hospital in association with DesignInc and as part of the SA Health Partnership consortium.

The new world class, patient focused Royal Adelaide Hospital is scheduled to be completed and occupied by 2016. The new hospital has been designed to cater for 800 beds including 100 place same-day units, with the capacity to admit more than 80,000 patients per year. In addition, there are 40 technical suites, a 60 bed intensive care unit, other associated clinical support areas such as day oncology and renal dialysis units, trauma emergency department, diagnostic areas and a hyperbaric unit. Other support areas include a food court, retail precinct, staff amenities, innovative office space, teaching and research facilities and green spaces.
