STH Teams Up with Caroma

As the leading Health Care Design Architectural practice in Australia, Silver Thomas Hanley (STH) regularly teams up with Health industry product suppliers to assist with making their products comply with AS1428.1:2009 Amd.1 requirements and meet the aesthetic and functional needs of our clients.

STH collaborated with industry leaders Caroma on their Care 600 Wall Basin that was specifically designed to meet Type B hospital basin requirements for general staff hand washing. The Care 600 Wall Basin has been designed for easy installation in any hospital or health care facility where the management of hygiene, infection control and hospital waste are paramount.

Caroma’s Research and Development Manager, Dr. Steve Cummings, stated “We’ve been honoured to work with the Silver Thomas Hanley team. The Care 600 Wall Basin owes much to their strong design and operational expertise and deep understanding of the needs and vulnerabilities of both washroom users and health care professionals.”

Alexandra Little, Head of Interiors at STH stated, "We wanted to help Caroma create a basin that ensures long term ease of maintenance, while meeting the aesthetic and functional needs of our clients….. there’s a desire amongst builders and construction managers, particularly in Public Private Partnership projects, to use a full family of products from one supplier."
